Squerryes Winery, Kent, 1hr 5 mins from London Charing Cross

Squerryes in one of the smaller and more boutique wineries which you can visit from London. It’s an estate which has been home to the Warde family for eight generations. They ventured into wine making in 2006, after a French champagne house noticed the land’s potential and tried to buy the land off them.

Three things you should know:

  • You don’t need to book a cab to get there because the taxi rank is busy, but you will need to book for the return.
  • Squerryes does afternoon tea, can swap out lunch for a later afternoon tea.
